Anti-corruption innovation and impact in Asia Pacific

We continue to hear about chapters anti-corruption work and innovation from across the region.

In these sessions across the days of our regional meeting, each chapter has the opportunity to share an innovation through which they have contributed to an impact, adding to our collection of anti-corruption impact stories from across the region and inspiring others to learn from these as they take their own actions.

13:30-15:00 Workshop 2: Advocacy Planning for Promoting Right to Information (VIP Room. 2, 2nd floor)

Right to information (RTI) has been identified as a priority area by chapters in the Asia Pacific Region. Following discussions in 2017 at the AMM and Asia Pacific Programme Meeting, a draft advocacy plan has been compiled. In this session, the draft plan will be discussed, and chapter priorities and contributions will be mapped against the 4 advocacy areas.

Workshop 3: Advocacy Planning for Collective Action for Business Integrity (Breakout room )

Collective Action for Business Integrity has been identified as a priority area by chapters in the Asia Pacific Region. Following discussions in 2017 at the AMM and Asia Pacific Programme Meeting, a draft advocacy plan has been compiled. In this workshop, chapters and TI-S will exchange information, provide feedback and validate plans for collective action for the private sector.

15:30-17:00 Workshop 4: Advocacy Planning for Supporting Anti-corruption Agencies Effectiveness (VIP Room. 2, 2nd floor)

Anti-corruption Agencies have been identified as a priority area by chapters in the Asia Pacific Region. Following discussions in 2017 at the AMM and Asia Pacific Programme Meeting, a draft advocacy plan has been compiled. This workshop will focus on experience sharing and planning a way forward on ACA advocacy.

Workshop 5: Advocacy Planning for Protecting Civil Society Space (Breakout room )

The need for regional advocacy on civil society space was highlighted in both our 2017 Regional Programme Meeting and the 2017 AMM. We use input to put together an initial draft plan of action. This session is designed around feedback and validation for collective action on regional advocacy on space for civil society in the Asia Pacific.

This session seeks to:

1. Feedback, input and validation for the draft regional advocacy plan on promoting space for civil society

2. Identify key geo political players, regional platforms and international conventions relevant for these actions

3. Develop key regional messaging around space for civil society
